Meet Our Physicians

There are two kinds of fully trained physicians licensed by the states to practice medicine and surgery. One is an M.D. – a Doctor of Medicine. The other is a D.O. – a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Both use all scientifically accepted methods of diagnosis and treatment. Both have had the required pre-medical education, both have had four years of training in a medical college, plus one year hospital internship. The difference is that the osteopathic physician has had additional training in recognizing and correcting musculo-skeletal problems, based on the inter-relationship of the body's muscles, bones, and joints, with other body systems. Our physicians have had an additional four years of training to specialize in Orthopedic Surgery.

The surgeons of this office are Board eligible, and Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery and approved by the American Osteopathic Association for teaching interns and residents. The Joint & Pain Center at Affinity Medical Center is an approved teaching hospital. Therefore, there will be other physicians working with our physicians conducting examinations and generally participating in your overall care. Also, our clinical staff, and other health professionals participate in a like fashion, all in an effort to make your stay with us more desirable and complete.
